|Faculty of Architecture, Planning and Surveying|
The faculty was established in July 1967 with an initial enrolment of 60 students under what was known as the School of Applied Arts, which was later changed to the School of Arts and Architecture.
In 1971 the School of Arts and Architecture had undergone major reorganisation, and this led to the establishment of two separate schools; one, which emphasised on the built environment, and the other on the arts and design.
Subsequently, the built environment school was named as the School of Architecture, Planning and Surveying which was later known as the Faculty of Architecture, Planning and Surveying. However, the Malaya
cronym "FSPU" (which stands for Fakulti Senibina, Perancangan dan Ukur) is commonly used within UiTM.
Assalamualaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuh
Alhamdulillah, all thanks go to Allah Lord of the Worlds as it is with His Beneficence that this FSPU Information System has come to fruition. First and foremost, I wish to congratulate the FSPU Information System Committee who has tirelessly worked to realize this wonderful project. The involvement of lecturers is not merely confined to the academic aspect alone but must also be extended to serve the community. However, support data to reflect such community service has not been efficiently updated and is hard to be retrieved. It is with this in mind that FSPU has come up with an initiative to enable this database system be made the main instrument towards a more efficient staff information management system. The faculty aspires for this initiative to receive full support from every academic to ensure its smooth implementation. As such, recognition of the academics’ involvement in academic fields or non-academic ventures will be further augmented. Thank you.
