INTRODUCTION

The Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS) formerly known as the Center for Islamic Thought and Understanding (CITU) is a complementary unit to the overall structure of the academic organization at Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM). The existence of ACIS at UiTM is in line with the mission and vision of UiTM which wants to produce pious and noble Bumiputera professionals. ACIS plays an important role in ensuring that UiTM's mission and vision are achieved by producing a group of Bumiputera professionals who are not only competitive in the modern world but are also a group that adheres to the nation's religion and customs.
 
ACIS offers educational services with training and multi-dimensional learning of various forms including academic and non-academic. ACIS is also involved in external and internal advisory services, research, and writing as well as other relevant expertise, especially those directly related to religion and spirituality.

We offer quality, ethical, and integrity services and promise that:

All basic learning, teaching, research, and environment facilities meet the requirements of MQA, MOHE, and professional bodies;

  1. All academic programs are approved, managed, and administered by University rules and procedures;
  2. All academic qualifications are recognized by the government and meet the requirements of industry and relevant professional bodies;
  3. All graduations are awarded within the stipulated period after fulfilling all the conditions;
  4. All outstanding achievements are identified and awarded annually;
  5. All formal suggestions and complaints are acted upon within one week;
  6. Always ready to serve the community and;
  7. Always provide friendly and professional service.

UiTM will provide services by the client`s charter as practiced by the Faculty Responsibility Centre, State Campus, Division, Institute, Centre, and Unit.
