Programme Description

The programme has been designed to train Bumiputera in science by integrating the three major disciplines of Pure science (Biology, Physics, and Chemistry). The duration of the full-time course is two and ½ years full time (5 semesters). Aspiring students interested in applied sciences will be equipped with various subjects in the syllabus about the three major fields, including mathematics. There are options for two streams for the final year (semesters 4 and 5): Physical and Biological.

DIPLOMA IN SCIENCE (AS120) | 5 semester 

Diploma of Science program is offered at five campuses, namely UiTM Pahang, UiTM Perlis, UiTM Sabah, UiTM Sarawak and UiTM Tapah which is the main campus. It is a two and a half years program that focuses on the Science and Mathematical basis. The program offers courses such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Other courses offered in the program include IT, English, Islamic Studies and Entrepreneurship.

Graduates can further their studies at the Bachelor Degree in relevant fields to meet the needs of the current workforce.

Graduates for this program have a career scope in the textile or other related industries, among others:

Assistant Officer, Researcher, Assistant Science Officer, Assistant Quality Control Officer, Assistant Laboratory of Entrepreneur Laboratory.
