The Diploma in Accountancy (DIA) programme has been designed with the objective to train Bumiputera in the filed of accountancy at a sub professional level.

The duration of the full-time course and part-time course are 2½ and 4 years respectively.  Part time programme is run by Institute of Continuing Education & Professional Studies (iCEPS) UiTM.

The DIA programme is divided into 5 semesters with the emphasis on inter-disciplinary approach to accounting. 34 subjects must be completed to earn the Diploma.

DIA graduates with good academic results may further their studies at any local or foreign institution of higher learning.  Among the courses available are:

• Bachelor in Accountancy (Hons.) (UiTM)
• Bachelor in Accountancy (Local/Foreign Universities)
• Professional courses (MICPA, ACCA and CIMA)

The DIA qualification has been recognized by the Government of Malaysia as a sub-professional qualification
