Programme Description

The program has been designed with the objective of training Bumiputera in the field of accountancy at a sub professional level. The duration of the full-time course and part time course are 2½ and 4 years respectively. 

The Diploma in Accounting Information System (DAIS) programme has been designed with the objective to train accounting graduates in the field of accountancy and information system at a sub professional level.  This programme combines computer skills with accounting and business which consist of financial accounting, management accounting, taxation, business programming, database, accounting information system and information technology audit. The main objective of this program is to produce Accounting Information System Administrators who are able to analyze financial information system and provide higher quality accounting services in all field of business. With the verge of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, this program offers a unique and marketable skills to the student that highly demanded by the employers.

The DAIS programme has been designed with the objective of training Bumiputera in the filed of accountancy and information system at a sub professional level. The duration of the course is 2½ years.  This programme is offered on full-time basis only.

The DAIS programme is divided into 5 semesters with the emphasis on inter-disciplinary approach to accounting and information system.  33 subjects must be completed to earn the Diploma.

DAIS graduates with good academic results may further their studies at any local or foreign institution of higher learning.  Among the program available are:

• Bachelor in Accountancy (Hons.) (UiTM)
• Bachelor in Accountancy (Local/Foreign Universities)
• Bachelor in Information System (Hons.) (UiTM/Local/foreign Universities)
• The DIAS qualification has been recognized by the Government of Malaysia as a sub-professional qualification.

The duration of the full-time course and part-time course are 2½ and 4 years respectively.  Part time programme is run by Institute of Continuing Education & Professional Studies (iCEPS) UiTM.

The DIA programme is divided into 5 semesters with the emphasis on inter-disciplinary approach to accounting. 34 subjects must be completed to earn the Diploma.

DIA graduates with good academic results may further their studies at any local or foreign institution of higher learning.  Among the courses available are:

• Bachelor in Accountancy (Hons.) (UiTM)
• Bachelor in Accountancy (Local/Foreign Universities)
• Professional courses (MICPA, ACCA and CIMA)
